Maps of the entire Festival
Map Preview
In the Home of the app you will find a small preview of the complete map in which only the stones of the historical routes and the prize blocks are visible (from Wednesday 08/05/2024).
What you can do in the map preview (and obviously in the full map):
- You can explore it using the Pinch-to-Zoom gesture and move around the map by dragging it in any direction
- You can click each block (placeholders of different colors based on the category it belongs to) to find out more info (shown in a pop-up directly on the map)
Full map
Here's how to make the best use of the Map!
To view the complete map in full-screen , however, you can click on the photo of Melloblocco (about halfway down the app's Home page); in this map you will have several buttons available at the top left:
- Layer management: allows you to
- View the complete list of levels (and their names): there are not only block levels, but also others with service information (e.g., parking lots, picnic areas, etc. - see later)
- Turn layers on or off at your discretion
- See the list of placemarks (not just blocks) in each layer and show their associated information through the pop-up on the map (by clicking the name of the placemark in the layer)
- Geolocation:
- What it is used for: it allows you to see where you are in relation to the location of the various placemarks present and is particularly helpful in finding the stones in the various circuits as you explore the valleys
- Precisions about geolocation:
- The map identifies your location but does not zoom in on you, so you will see a blue dot indicating your location and you can choose what zoom level to hold to explore what you have around you;
- It is possible that in some cases you won't see the blue dot (even though the location is working); for example, it happens if you are looking at a point on the map that is too far away from you (because the dot will be outside the visible portion of the map): in that case, you need to zoom out, so that you can re-enter the displayed portion of the map and see the dot indicating your location
- Other button that gives access to
- Place search
- Zoom-in and zoom-out buttons: useful in case you are not comfortable with Pinch-to-Zoom

Specific circuit maps
Within the Prize Blocks pages (accessible from the Home by clicking on "Discover prize-awarded boulders") and Historical Routes (accessible from the Home by clicking on "Historical Paths"), there will be a preview (larger and with more features than that of the Home) focused on the boulders of interest for that specific context.
This way, it will be easier to find and mark closed blocks directly from the list under these maps , without having to change pages in the app.
