How event chat works
Every time you create an event via the " + " [coming soon] present in the Navigation bar, a chat linked to the event itself is automatically created.
All users will be able to enter this chat by clicking the "Chat with the organizer" button present in the complete event sheet [coming soon], reachable from the list on the dedicated page which can be accessed by clicking "Events" [coming soon] in the Navigation bar.
What is the event chat for?
This chat is designed to give all the useful information to participants, without having to leave the app.
It is useful in various contexts; here are some examples:
- For the organizers
- In the case of events organised by NIVA's Partners (e.g. Outdoor Festivals, Competitions and Street Bouldering) it is often necessary to communicate with participants in good time on several occasions:
- Before the event: provide logistical information, timetables, news, etc.
- During the event, also considering that climbers are often climbing in different and sometimes very distant places, it is useful to
- Provide real-time updates on schedules and activities
- Provide them with service information: changes to the programme, start of a specific activity, calling the finalists to prepare, announcing the awards, etc.
- Allow sponsors to give information on their activities, announce the start of a workshop, etc.
- After the event: thank participants and sponsors etc.
- In the case of events organised by a member of the NIVA Community, the group chat allows climbers who want to take part in the activity proposed by another member to ask for more information and organise themselves better.
- For participants, in any context, to ask for information and explanations, report a problem and so on.
